Olive bonsai, Olea europaea

This is a shohin-scale olive (Olea europaea) with a short, thick, curved trunk that carries an open hollow, under a lightly wired crown. It is small enough to sit on a shelf and still has the weight of an old olive. It comes in the ceramic pot shown.

The pot

The pot is a reddish purple-brown unglazed ceramic, 18.5 x 14 x H6 cm, with a flat rim, a groove below it, a stepped base band and cut feet.
